The types can be identified on the basis of classification. They can be classified, based on the ingredients and based on their shapes and sizes.
Based on ingredients
Whole grain bread
This type of bread is extremely healthy. It consists of major grains, which provide important nutrients to the body. It is quite rich in protein and fiber, because it consists of grains. It is best suited for the breakfast requirements. People, who have a hectic schedule of work, college, etc, shall prefer this type of bread, for maintaining good energy levels. It is not expensive and is easily available, at most of the places.
Sweet bread
This type of bread is also quite famous and is used occasionally, by the people. The children are quite fond of these types of breads. These breads are healthy but, need to be consumed in a limit. The content of direct sugar is pretty less and it provides sufficient carbohydrates, to energize the body for the daily activities.
It is important to note that, consuming sweet items in the morning does not have an adverse affect, as when consuming them, in the night. The sugar in the sweet items, contain carbohydrates. While doing work, we are utilizing all the extra carbohydrates present in the body. Thus, there is no risk of accumulation of carbohydrates in the body.
But, when we consume sweet items in the night, we do not work or exercise, towards using the consumed carbohydrates. Thus, after the digestion process, it accumulates in the body, as fats. This can be harmful. But, bread is a product, which is generally consumed in the morning. Thus, occasional consumption of sweet bread does not cause any health issues.
Amish bread is a type of sweet bread, which is quite famous in the United States of America. It contains a small percentage of sugar, vegetable oil, sourdough starter, etc.
Spicy bread
People, who have a different taste and do not like to have plane food, should try spicy breads. They are not very spicy in nature but, consist of few spices like chilly, salt, and various other items, which provide it a unique taste. These types of breads have become quite famous and are really tasty. It is good for diabetes patients. People, who have a strong taste towards spices, salt, chilies, etc, would enjoy this type of bread.

Round
The round breads are generally used to enclose some items within them. Leading fast food chains offer this type of breads, by adding various spicy items, between the buns like breads.
Other shapes
The breads come in various other shapes like the bread sticks, fluffy breads, square breads in slices, etc. These are widely used in many places as a breakfast item. They can be consumed raw or by adding few extra items, like butter and jam.
