NBA (2013-2014): Top Scorers Up To Now

Superstars are dominating the list of top scorers in the NBA for yet another season. We pretty much expected to see almost every one of the players who currently rank at the top of the list, since they are the usual suspects. Let’s take a look at the list of the top NBA scorers of the 2013-2014 season up to now.

No.1: Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant was projected to be one of the top scorers this season. With 31.8 points per game, he really stands out of the rest of the league, since he second-seeded Carmelo Anthony is more than three points per game behind. During the absence of Russell Westbrook KD really reached a monster level in his performance. He exploded in several games, scoring over 40 points and he even set a new career-best for most points scored in a single game, when he finished a game against the Golden State Warriors with 54, earlier in the season.

No.2: Carmelo Anthony

The New York Knicks might be struggling almost all season long, however, Melo is not struggling at all. The 29-year old megastar is recording an exceptional season and for yet another time, he finds his name at the top spots of the scorers list in the NBA. Carmelo is putting up 28 points per game and he is the No.1 reason the New York Knicks have are not tanking badly. No.3: LeBron James

King James is not playing at his full speed this season. In fact, it seems like the entire Miami Heat are trying to conserve their powers for the postseason, rather than giving it all to clinch the top spot in the East. Despite him not going full throttle, James has managed to climb to the third spot of the list with the top scorers in the list. LBJ is averaging 26.7 points per game.

No.4: Kevin Love

One of the most loved players for fantasy owners is Kevin Love. He is such a versatile forward that he is fairly considered as unique. Love is a double-double machine and at present he ranks fourth in the league in points per game. He is averaging 26.4 points per game and it shouldn’t be a surprise to see him surpassing LeBron by the end of the regular season.

No.5: James Harden

Houston Rockets fans chant: “Fear the Bear” and they have a good reason for that. Of course, that’s no other than Harden’s lethal scoring ability. Harden is putting up 24.6 points per contest. He and Dwight Howard have really changed the course of the Rockets franchise this season. The Rockets can be considered title contenders this season.
