Perfect Casual Date Ideas

When it comes to casual dating, the end game is always the same, but how you get from point A to point B can be a little trickier. Sure there are some nights where you just want to make a late night phone call for some company, but there are other nights where you actually want to go out and hang out with the person you’ve been connecting with. Flirt.com understands that and we’ve compiled a list of some fun ideas that are casual fling appropriate and aren’t too romantic or could imply a relationship is in the future.

1. Go to a concert.

Concerts are a great way to get the adrenaline flowing for the activities that’ll take place later in the evening. You’re amped from the awesome music, the excited crowd, and the atmosphere. By going to a concert, you’re able to hang out with the other person, but you aren’t delegated to focus all your attention on that person. There isn’t a need for conversation, so you don’t have to try and come up with something to talk about. Once the concert is over, you’ll be able to talk about the concert — or, not even talk at all!

2. Cooking Class.

Now this may seem like a romantic date idea — and for some it very well may be. However, if you both are horrible cooks, it’s an excellent way to improve your cooking skills and get a few good laughs. If you find a cooking class that serves wine, that’s even better. You can get a little tipsy and really have some fun. The date may start with dinner and wine, but after the class, you can pick up a dessert and go home for some one on one cooking lessons, if you know what I mean.

3. Skydiving.

Before you think I’m insane, hear me out. Skydiving isn’t for everyone, but it definitely something only the truly adventurous would consider doing. There’s nothing less than romantic than jumping out of a plane with some stranger strapped to your back. When you get on the ground, you’ll be pumped full of adrenaline, which can lend itself to doing more exciting and adventurous things later.

4. Create Art.

Creating art together is a great casual date for people who are brought together because of their love of art. Break out the paints and collaborate on a large scale painting. Go somewhere exciting like a theme park or a fair and take pictures. Get the photos developed and swap photos to create individual collages. Suppose one of you is a musician and the other is a singer. Sign up for an open mic night at your local coffee shop and work on a collaborative piece. Another idea on this could be a poet or a writer can tell a story and the other person could draw or paint the emotion that the story evokes. Warning: creating art together may bring you closer together.
